Feeding Your Family While in Isolation - from our Partners at Piccolo
With restaurants closing, deliveries restricted and supermarkets with limited stock, it’s a tricky time to navigate and the thought of plan feeding your family over the upcoming weeks might be daunting.
As parents ourselves, we know many of us might be feeling a bit overwhelmed by the idea of preparing 3 meals a day for our children for the foreseeable. Without schools to help out with lunchtimes, it feels like we have to suddenly be experts everything. from infant nutrition to how to cook family-sized meals from scratch. Kind of makes you want to run away and hide, right?
We want to do what we can to help – so we’ve pulled together our favourite pantry-based recipes to see you through the next few weeks.

Our top ten ways keep little hands busy while we're all #StayingHome
We know that keeping the kids entertained while staying home isn't always easy at the best of times, never mind with the world as it is right now! So to help, we've rounded up our favourite activities to help you fill your days with fun!
Make salt dough
Salt dough is a great and easy activity and unlike baking that cake you've had saved on Pinterest since 2013 it's completely kid-friendly and only needs ingredients you've almost definitely got in your cupboards.
Here's our recipe:
- You'll need 2 glasses of flour, 1 glass of fine salt and 1 glass of warm water.
- Pour the flour, salt and water into a container and mix with a spoon.
- Once the ingredients are well mixed, continue kneading with your hands!
- The salt dough must form a soft batter ball and it should not stick to the fingers.
Babywearing at Home
Babywearing isn’t just for long walks across muddy fields or navigating public transport when you can’t face lugging a buggy around (although those are both great reasons to babywear!), there’s a hundred reasons why babywearing at home is the best thing, and we thought we’d share a few…
Get things done!
It sounds pretty simple and it is. Even the most independent baby can be clingy sometimes but babywearing lets you get on with your life hands-free whether that’s giving some love and attention to another child, finally getting that cup of tea made and… wait for it… drunk whilst still hot, or just making your way through that ever-growing pile of washing. And pro tip: as your baby gets older try using the back carry or hip carry position if your carrier supports it to give you even more range of movement and freedom.

I’m pregnant?! Amazing?! Exciting?! Slightly daunting?!
Following tears of joy and embracing the excitement of finding out my friends were pregnant, along with lots of hugging, crying and smiling, we would often sit, have a cup of tea and chat about what they would need to buy for their baby. Having worked within the baby industry for over 10 years my friends have always come to me to discuss the latest products and learn more about baby essentials.
Seeing the support this gave them on this new and slightly daunting experience, really struck home with me. I wanted to give something more, something too for all of the mums I regularly chatted to at Baby Shows or in stores, that’s when Googlicious Baby was born.
Nine Tips to Help Parents During the COVID-19 Pandemic
We encourage new parents to follow the recommendations for the first 40 days, but here are some tips for helping new parents get through this time at home during the COVID-19 pandemic. Whether your baby is 9 days old, 9 months old or you have older kids in the house, here are some helpful tips for self-care during this time.
1. Remember what is in your control and what is not.
Focus on what you can control, washing your hands, practicing kindness, eating well, taking your vitamins. Try to limit your news consumption right now.
2. Don’t compare.
Remember not to compare and despair right now, everyone will react to this scenario in different ways. Be gentle with yourself and with others.
The CARiFiT guide to home workouts for new mums!
Home workouts have never been more relevant, searched for or useful than right now. They provide much needed movement and physical stimulation and the mental health benefits that everyone is well aware come from a workout.
As well as this, at a time of great isolation they provide a much needed sense of community, friendship and belonging – a safe place to hang out, chat and interact.
As a new mum there is even more ‘home workouts’ hitting your social feed and being advertised to you then ever before BUT just because you can do something in your front room doesn’t always mean that you should.
As a postnatal client you still need to apply proper training protocols to your workouts to keep you safe and injury free and the workouts beneficial and appropriate.
Just as a high impact plyometric training session built around burpees and jump squats may be an inappropriate choice for
Behind the scenes: How the Ergobaby team works at home
New Work has been a hot topic for quite some time as the world of work undergoes a fundamental structural change. It's all about more flexibility, greater networking, the digitisation of everyday working life, and about becoming ever more productive while having more fun at work. We discussed at our annual kick-off meeting in early February whether and how we want to change new forms of teamwork across our various locations in the Hamburg, Paris, London and L.A. offices, but also individually. After all, "every kick is different", which means that everyone defines feeling good at work differently. But what is often mentioned is the desire for more home office time.
Well, who would have thought at the beginning of February that this would become a reality so quickly for so many of us? Switching to 100% of us working from home, virtually from one day to the next, nobody could have predicted
The Secrets of Successful Sleep
As a new parent, we know it can be extremely daunting bringing your baby home and familiarising yourself with the day to day needs of a newborn. Learning to identify the difference between ‘change my nappy’ crying and ‘I need food’ crying, mastering the one-hand wipe opening and perfecting the art of creeping silently from a room when you finally get your little one snoozing – but it doesn’t have to be this difficult!
Sleep coaching is a methodical and personal way to nurture your baby into a routine which works for you, identifying a specific time for settling down each night and teaching you just how easy bedtime can be.
Many people have different approaches to bedtime, whilst some leave their babies to cry and others tend to their every stir, sleep coaching will teach you a healthy balance of both so you can identify exactly what your
