Parents of newborn babies are often nervous about placing their baby on their stomach. After all, your baby can't really hold its head up by itself yet so it’s understandable that when your little one starts to lie on their tummy, you want to quickly turn them onto their back.
And it’s no wonder if your baby grumbles at the start. The prone position or “tummy time” is not as easy for your baby at first because their head is so heavy. In addition, their spine is not yet erect in the double S-shape as it is in adults, and their hip joints are more forward so they can't lie down straight and have to work actively against this in the prone position. And sometimes they just don't feel like doing it.
What is the purpose of the prone position of a baby?
Even if the motivation

It's finally feeling hot, hurrah! With the rising temperatures it can leave parents feeling worried about babywearing during the summer months. We often receive lots of questions about wearing a baby carrier in the summer. These include: How do I protect my child from the sun? Won't it get too warm? Which baby carrier for the summer? Should I use a carrier at all in the summer or should I rather use a stroller with a sunshade? The questions are endless…
Babies can’t completely regulate their own temperature at first. So, when you as parents sweat, you are like the air conditioner for your child but completely natural air conditioning! Parents can cool and warm their babies through their skin – depending on whether they are too cold or too hot. So, take advantage of this wonderful feature that has been given to you.
However, we do recommend if the weather

If you’re a mother, chances are you understand the changes we go through during pregnancy, after birth, and in the years following. It’s no surprise when you learn a fellow mum is unable to multitask or forgets the simplest things or is constantly consumed by their children’s well-being.
Want to know something amazing? It’s not just you. You’re not going crazy. Science proves it! Journalist and mother, Chelsea Conaboy, went looking for answers about the changes beyond a woman’s body during pregnancy. She wanted answers about the changes in the brain and that led her to her now viral article in Boston Globe, “Motherhood brings the most dramatic brain changes of a woman’s life.”

Yes, women are great, but that's not what we celebrate on the 8th of March. So, what is International Women's Day then?
Unfortunately, there are still many areas of life where women struggle for equality - be it salary or discrimination in different professions. Equality is therefore an important topic that discussed during International Women's Day.
As we are also celebrating our 20th Ergobaby anniversary this year, on International Women's Day we would like to celebrate not only all the women in our community, but especially the success of our founder, Karin Frost. Karin is a symbol of what women contribute to our society.
Karin was a single mother with limited financial resources, when she founded a company on Maui (Hawaii) that has since made the lives of countless families

There is nothing better for mum and baby than breast/chest feeding. A well-functioning breast/chest feeding relationship is something wonderful. But what few people talk about is: inflamed nipples, milk retention and mastitis which can also cause a lot of pain for new mums. If left untreated, or treated too late, mastitis can even lead to abscesses.
We don't want to scare you, we just want you to be aware and get to know your body better. This way you can prevent unpleasant complications of breast/chest feeding or recognise and treat them early on.

As a child, do you remember your aunts and grandmothers lovingly pinching your cheeks and saying "wow, you are gowning up so fast." every time you saw them? At the time you may have thought it was funny or sometimes rather annoying. Have you considered the number of times others have said the same to your child?
We may catch ourselves thinking the same thing or even hear the words coming out of our mouths when we haven't seen our friends' children for a while.
During the first years of life, humans develop faster than at any other time of their lives. In the first four years, half of our entire evolution takes place.
Every childs' development is individual
