When the sun comes out, we are regularly contacted by parents asking for tips on how to keep you and baby safe and comfortable in your baby carrier.
Here are some quick tips on keeping cool and confident wearing your baby in warm weather.
Thin Layers
Babies are naturally warm little bundles, which can lead to you both feeling a little uncomfortable. Your carrier or baby wrap acts as at least 1 extra layer of clothing, so it’s important to keep baby lightly dressed.
Shield from the Elements
Parents will tell you that a muslin has a 100s of uses and it’s never a bad idea to have one close to hand. Draping a muslin over exposed little arms and legs can help shield from the sun, but suncream should still be used

My Carrier of Dreams
I jumped at the chance to test out the new Ergobaby OMNI 360 Air Mesh recently. As a military family we split life between the super-hot and dusty Middle east and the UK and I’ve been longing for a carrier to emerge which does it all for us. I need something to perform in hot or cold climates, to have a big weight range to use with both kids, to be washable, stylish for me and cool enough for my husband to wear too. Oh, and it needs to help me run through the airport with one in it whilst pushing the buggy with one hand, balancing a coffee in the other and without losing a child, or my mind. BIG ASK.

Everyday, we hear stories from our fans about the longevity and durability of our carrier. “I’ve used the Ergobaby carrier for over six years and through three kids!” is a common refrain we hear! We’d love you to hear your stories and tag us on social media!
While our carriers are built to last and constructed for durability, here are a few tips to extend the life of your carrier.
Teething Pads
Most babies, once they start teething, suck on the straps of the carrier. It’s right there, ready for tiny mouths, who can blame them? The PH of their saliva even changes as teething begins. Did you know that you can get

Have you been wearing your baby, but you're not convinced they look 'right'? Here's how to correct a couple of common mistakes to keep baby in an optimal carry position.
'C' Shape Spine
Baby is cuddled in to mum, with his spine in a naturally formed 'C' shape.
What's Wrong?
Baby is hugged in too close to mum.
This can restrict the airways, increase the chance of baby overheating and holds baby's spine in an natural curve.
How do I correct this?
Loosen the straps at the sides of baby to allow the

Classic striped breton shirt [Boden] underneath a beautiful, chunky knit cardi [Fatface], keeping you snug and allowing you to quickly shield baby from sudden gusts. Also, cardis are great when babywearing, as they're easy to remove if you get a little too warm carrying baby, but easy to get back on again if it starts getting chilly.
