We’ve had a few questions from new parents asking for advice about how to dress baby whilst they’re in a baby carrier during the cold weather, so here are our top 3 Winter wearing tips :
1. Less is More
Dressing baby in too many layers of clothing could cause them to overheat, so start with less and add more if you feel baby is too chilly.
When dressing baby, remember that your carrier is going to be adding a further layer of warmth around them. Being worn so close to you, baby is also going to be warmed by your body (which is likely to increase in warmth as you’re carrying baby, along with any number of parenting essentials!).

If you're a dog lover, then chances are your first baby has four legs and fur.
Perhaps you're pregnant and as your due date gets closer, you're wondering how you're going to manage your bouncing baby and your excited pooch, single-handedly on a lunchtime walk?
We're here to tell you that a baby carrier is the answer!

Wearing baby is enjoyable for all involved. Your new baby is happiest when he's close to you and you're equally happy knowing that you can respond quickly to his every need. You have both hands free to hold the dog's lead, throw a ball and give puppy a great big fuss for fetching their ball back.

Ever put baby in your baby carrier and thought "am I doing this right?" ?
This International Babywearing Week, we want to share the T.I.C.K.S rule for safe babywearing, to help give you confidence when wearing your baby :
1. T is for "Tight"
Slings & carriers should be tight enough to hug your baby close to you, as this will be most comfortable for you both. Any slack/loose fabric will allow your baby to slump down in the carrier which can hinder their breathing and pull on your back.
2. I is for "In View at All Times"
You should always be able to see your baby’s face by simply glancing down. The fabric of a sling or carrier should not close around them so you have to open

Recently, we’ve been contacted by a few parents on social media, enquiring as to how they can choose between carriers and the benefits of our carriers over those from other manufacturers. Without talking you through the product face-to-face or while the products are in your hands, it can sometimes be difficult. That’s where sling libraries come in and why they are so important.

Sling libraries offer invaluable services to parents interested in babywearing who want to find out more and learn about their options. Often run by qualified babywearing consultants or peer supporters, each library will have a collection of baby carriers and baby wraps

Going to a wedding with a baby?! Read how Clare and baby Euan mastered it here!
I had a wedding to attend with my 10 week old baby, Euan. Going anywhere with a new-born can often be somewhat of a military operation, therefore I needed a plan of attack to try to minimize any risk of meltdown mode (him not me!) occurring. Euan loves his cuddles, so a plan was formed, I would use a baby carrier. Finding a dress to wear that was suitable to breastfeed in was a much trickier operation, but that's another story!
I had only used a stretchy wrap with him before and while comfy, I sometimes found it a bit of a faff to get on and off, so for the wedding I wanted a buckle carrier. I was given the opportunity to road test Ergobaby's newest addition, the Omni 360. The beauty of the Omni is that Ergobaby seem to have taken all the best features from its other carriers to make this one. One great feature is that it fits a new-born without needing any extra insert as it is altered by adjusting
